I see many contracts are now on an 18 month basis. Are the upgrades still after 12 months? I'll deffo be bored after that long, 18 months seems a long time :)

Unfortunatly, if its 18mnt then you can only "upgrade" after that time has expired. I know its easy to get bored, but with these long contracts you can get some really good deals.

I normally wouldnt go for an 18-month contract either, but I got 9 months free line rental with a free phone that gives me 200anytime mins & 575txts, so with a deal like that I couldnt resist.

After the contract period, it averages out at £15 a month which is better than I could have hoped for :D

You can probably upgrade at any time in the contract. The networks would just charge a bigger upgrade fee if you do it earlier in the contract.

Orange want £200 if I upgrade now in month 5 of my 12 month contract. Thats for an "upgrade" from an SPV C600 to a Motorola SLVR.
