19" decisions..

Hi, Im in the market for a new 19" tft monitor , im upgrading from a 15" tft which i feel is a little small. I have £170 or there abouts maximum to spend although less is preferrable. I have been looking about the internet and allot of online shops do the (company) value ranges which have great specs but are really cheap. Anyway one of the main things I wanted to ask was is their much of a difference between 16.2 colours and 16.7 because it would really help me to narrow my search.

I dont want the widescreen 19" not as much of a viewing area as a normal 19" and widescreen doesnt really "float my boat" I have my eyes on the Sony SDM-S95AB but it is quite expensive. my main reason for looking at this one is cos of the 16.7 m colours as I dont know if 16.2 is much worse

slightly over my budget of about £170 though, If someone could tell me if its worth going for a 16.7m colour panel it would really help as this would limit me to 2 monitors for my budget

I have noticed the acer al1917as on this website, this is fairly close to my budget and has 16.7 colours anyone know if it is a good monitor?

it would be if It was within my budget, however the acer al1917as screen looks rather tempting , it states 16.7 million colours although according to their website it is still based on tn film

so it seems I think im gonna go for the acer AL1917as anyway as i have found it for £168 inc. postage.. If anyone has a reason they think I should not buy this monitor please tell me.
