19" LCD in bright enviroment

Hi All

I need a 19" LCD which still look good in a very bright conservatory. My GFs dad has moved his computer out into the conservatory and is struggling to see the screen due to the bright daylight.

Any suggestions?

you can get tft's designed for outside use iirc. wich have super bright backlights. google for them. other than that a screen hood?

Make a monitor hood like the LaCie monitors used.

the hood idea is ok but you still get a lot of glare on the screen, the hood is mainly to focus your vision on the monitor not to shroud from direct sunlight

there are screen cotings you can get but how good they are i dont know
