about 37" to 42" is recommended for 9ft to 11.5ft with SD...about 5ft to 8ft with HD signals.Scythe said:Hi, I'm now looking to get a HD TV, but a small one as my wage isnt good. I've seen a nice samsung one on OCUK but it 19". Can you put these on a wall mount and will in be big enough for a viewing range of 2-3.5m?
Sorted..Tony Williams said:Gotta be 62"+
No, much too small. If you can't afford a bigger one, save up until you canScythe said:Hi, I'm now looking to get a HD TV, but a small one as my wage isnt good. Small roomhardkore said:But surely its about the room size? abit pointless having a 26"+ tv in a small room isnt it? I'm currently running my 360 off my old pc monitor which is only 16.4inch viewable. Its not the best but far from terrible. Going to get a 22" or 20" screen for xmas and that should be PLENTY for my room![]()

Have you tryed playing games on a TV under 26" from up to 11.5ft away..
Even on my 43" plasma i sometimes move in closer then 11.5ft to play games
Whoa...don't forget HDTV means you can sit closer without pixellation, and on a 42" screen ~10ft is the maximum distance to site in order to pick out all the detail of a HD game, as opposed to ~15ft for old-style PAL quality.Bobbler said:What elitist tosh IMO, maybe not by just yourself, but the industry in general...a quick search on google indicates an optimal viewing distance of 4ft on a 36" screen LOL
So what, when we had 32" CRTs as being about the biggest thing you would have anywhere a couple of years back we where unable to use them at all to view games??? Unless you had your eyes an inch from the screen
Advertising media driven drivel of the highest order IMO.
