19" Viewsonic VA1912W - Comments

I am waiting on the delivery of a 19" Viewsonic VA1912W and I know there are some good reviews out there about this screen but is there any one out there that has personaly used this screen and can give an honest opinion about it?

I have A VA1912W!

I moved to it from a 22" Iiyama VMPro 514, more to reclaim desk space if anything! Anyway, I've had the Viewsonic for about 3 weeks now, and I can say I'm impressed.

Viewing angles are pretty good, colour reproduction seems OK, not as good as my old CRT, but that was over £500 when i bought it. Display seemed a little bright out of the box, but a few mins tweaking solved that. Refresh rates are excellent too, I've not noticed any ghosting on games, movies or anything. I'm running it on a Radeon 9800Pro, and setting up widescreen was a simple matter of dragging the display size slider in windows display properties to the far right hand side. The buttons in the OSD aren't as responsive as i'd have liked, but you get used to it! Mine has one dead pixel in the bottom left, but I hardly seem to notice it. It looks quite stylish and has the bonus of DVI and 15-pin.

As my first LCD monitor, I'd give it 9/10... for the price I couldnt find anything better. :cool:

I have the Viewsonic VP930, superb monitor. Viewsonic will exchange for 1 dead pixel by the way. give them a call on 0207 949 0307

Like wise... Any feedback from owners would be appreciated... Most concerned about performance in games...

Seems a good price for the performance. Don't really think I need the higher res of a 20" screen!
