Guys,

I've finally decided to build myself a nice new desktop. Primarily I'll be using it for development and testing and it'll run linux while I'm doing that.

But every so often I'd like to fire up CS:S for some fun, so I need to find a cheapish graphics card which will run CS:s fine.

I'm fancying getting a dell 24" screen, so it'll need to be a pretty powerful card I guess but I don't want to spend £300 on a 8800. So will a 1950 run it ok on that kind of screen res and if not what will?

CPU will likely be a E6750 I reckon at the moment

Cheers!

i run css on a 1950 with max details and i only game at 1280x1024 but get 100fps absolute minimum pretty much unles on a mad 32 man server lol. sooo even with a frame rate drop due to higher res i think you will be ok
