The XT is much better. The question, in my mind, is whether or not the XT is a better value. Between those two I'd definitely get the XT even if its cooler isn't as nice as the Pro's.

Yup XT much faster than the pro.

There was loads of problems with the HIS x1950pro's, dying in their thousands since last December so had to replace them with a new version2, a couple of those have died to with the same problems though, not heard of any XT probs myself.

Pro = 36 pipes, XT = 48 pipes

I don't think OCUK sell them anymore but I'm sure there is an ICEQ3 version of the XT. Failing that, there's the Powercolour version that has the Accelero cooler but then that doesn't vent the hot air out the case!

For my 9500 Pro, yes? Looks like the 1950 XT then ! As long as its quiet it'll do.

There is, got one from OCuK last year running my 2407 at 1900x1280 without breaking a sweat - fantastic card :D

Never had any problems with the card at either stock or OC'd settings. I've stuck with the catalyst drivers released via the HIS site though as I read somewhere that the ATI releases sometimes cause problems as it's a third party card. Not sure why this is but the one time I treid the latest ATi adapters I got an error saying my adaptor wasn't supported by CCC on startup (although everything worked fine)
