1and1 and other website template sites

Has anyone got experience using one of these template website thingies? I want to set one up for a small business I run but I don't know if they're worth the money.

I'm a cycle mechanic outside of my 9-5 and I want to gain an online presence to make it easier for people to find me and find out what services I offer. Nothing fancy but I don't want it to look like it was thrown together in MS Word in an hour.

So, worth it? Any alternatives to 1and1? Ta

I have no experience with Wordpress, is it easy to use?

OK, finally got everything planned and ready to start on the website. I've decided to go the TSO/wordpress route. Can anyone give me a quick guide? I have no idea where to start.
