Getting a 560ti for my new PC
Shopped about can get 2GB 560ti for not a lot more than the 1GB.
I'll be gaming at 1080p (on plasma)
I know the argument about higher ram only coming into play for higher resolutions...but then there was the BF3 thread showing better performance with a 2GB card so made me think.
And theres not a lot of extra cost getting the2GB so thinking why not?
Its getting hooked up with a [email protected] and 6GB of DDR2 ram.
Not a gaming monster but not bad really?
It'd be good to play games 1080p as close to max settings as possible and I'm hoping the extra RAM on the GPU will help that?
Would that be right? Would the exra ram let me bump up the AA settings and effects etc?
Also thinking another good reason to go for 2 over 1GB is that the 2GB card would withstand an upgrade to an i7 in the future and I don't want to have to upgrade the graphics card again just for that.
The extra cash could be diverted elsewhere, but its not a lot and I'd be paying extra for the 2GB if it would make a useful improvement in my situation.
Thanks.
