1GB 9600GT

I hate it when companies do this. It takes advantage of those gamers who arent technical savvy.

ive seen things like xfx 1gb 8500gt . i mean come on.

Hello ash_scotland88, I'll suspect the Nvidia 9600 GT 1024 MB will follow a very similar performance line as the Nvidia 8800 GT 1024 MB.

For this benchmark we use disguise ourselves in the Ghillie suit, load up ACT II - All Ghillied up. As you can see no it makes no difference to have an additional 512MB framebuffer on board.

As you can see from the above charts, there is an extremely small gain in performance by the Nvidia 800 GT 1024 MB edition and I'll suspect the Nvidia 9600 GT 1024 MB edition to show very similar results. :)

i really should have posted some sort of sentance, but since i aint that tech savvy (i only know what is reasonably good, i dont allways know why its good) i thought i would leave discussion and debate to you guys.

Why do they insist on bringing out these stupid mid-range 1GB cards but leave the high (er) end cards like the GTX et al that can actually use it with just 512MB? A GTX or GTS with 1GB would be beautiful for those with a multi-monitor setup (and hence ridiculous resolutions).
