Mornin'

At home i have my Server 2003 with a marvell Yukon onboard network port which is a 1Gbps port, connected via a Netgear 5port Gigabit card with a 10Gb fabric, to my Vista x64 machine with a Realtek onboard 1Gb port.

Yet when transfering any files between the two, i only manage to get @ 25% bandwidth used ????

Why ????

Help !!!!

Please :)

1Gbps is 125MBps, right? You'll probably find your hard drives aren't capable of sending or receiving data at that rate unless it's a raptor or SSD or something. My 7200rpm drives have an average transfer rate in the region of 60 to 70 MBps.
