£1k budget - recommendations?

It's easy enough for me to choose a gaming laptop - but a customer of mine would like a £1k max 17" workhorse. This is more of a challenge ironically. Any suggestions?

She doesn't have many preferences, but a 17" screen is a must.

A Lenovo Ideapad 3 (not 3i) 17 with all hardware options maxed out is comfortably under budget. Alternatively, if she wants a discrete GPU, the better spec version of the Legion 5 17 is £1100 with a possible 10% discount available.

Dell Inspiron 16 or 16 2 in 1 might be worth a look (they don't do a 17). There's an XPS 17 but it's too expensive. I have an Inspiron 15 2 in 1 and it's a nice machine.
