£1K gaming PC for a friend

been a while since I built a PC, (still rocking a 5820K with an nvidia 980), a friend has asked me for some advice on the build.

Here's what I put together below.

Case is a placeholder, he has requested a corsair PSU.

£30 more , 10gbps gddr5x will help with texture fill rate in VR, clock to 11gbps overclock

Thanks for pointing out the 1080, the case will be up to personal preference, I put in the windowless as the guy is a 30 year old engineer and Im guessing he will want understated

Went for price, it's still sound insulated and has damn good cooling ! Mesh at the front so in theory, 3x120 fans for superior air flow

He's also like the PSU, 10 yr warranty and better components , and they are an OEM - sure they have made Corsair units in the past
