Hi is there any different in 1m vs 2m response time?. I found out what my problem is and its my TV. As you might no I have had problems from shimmering to jaggy edges and ghosting when moving. It looks fine on movies and cant see any problem but on games its terrible. I tried my Xbox one today for 1st time and it also happens on this playing dead rising 3 and Forza 5. I am taking my PC round to my brothers on Friday just to double check has he got a 100hz TV and if all ok I will be buying a monitor and not another TV for gaming. I was looking at 2 which are.

which is 2m response time and also HDMI 1.4.

Which is 1m response time and HDMI 2.0.

I have a Asus strix 970 GTX which is HDMI 2.0. I no HDMI is backwards compatible but does this also matter?. Thanks.

largely marketing really and actual real world performance between a good 1ms G2G TN Film panel and a 2ms G2G TN Film panel is likely to be very comparable. In real measurements the response times are typically more like 3 - 5ms G2G average on a good TN Film screen, with only the fastest transitions reaching near the advertised spec. Just be careful if you start then comparing the response times of TN Film panels with the response times of other technologies like IPS / VA which have advertised figures like 4 - 5ms G2G nowadays, but don't perform the same as TN Film panels.

anyway, for your original question they will be very similar in reality :)
