hey guys my mate gave a winchester 64 3200+ and a k8n neo 2 platinum for a tenner to replace my p4 2.8 which was nice. anyway ive decided to overclock the bugger :)

full spec is:

K8N neo 2 platinum
winchester 64 3200+
4x 256 twinmos 3200
2x 80gb sata
580w hiper
6800gt - stock
stock hsf

right after some research and what not ive managed to understand how its all done (simple really)

Dropped mem fsb to 133
divider is on 10
up the fsb to 230
htt on 4
memory is @ 2.5-3-3-8

locked agp on 67 and pci 33

runs 100% stable but as soon as i up it to 235x10 it has trouble loading windows. am i doing everything right? is there anything else that can be done to get more out of my system?

Boo

just a quick note, disable your cpu spread sectrum if you have it on that mobo. my neo4 ultra has the option

A tenner, nice one! I ran the same mobo and CPU for two years. It was a great system - the mobo is still running in this PC now.

As 1337z0r said, up the CPU voltage a notch and see if you can take it any further. (It's a Winnie so the default will be 1.4v, though.) Your OC may ultimately be limited by the fact that you have 4 sticks of RAM, though - A64s don't handle it very well, particularly older ones like the Winchester. If you get stuck, it might be a useful test to take 2 sticks of RAM out and see if that allows you to go further.
