With the GPU you mentioned would that be good gaming pc for a few years?

That GPU is a great shout it's nice to see it back in stock. If you overclock it then it will trade blows with a stock 7950 as it too has a Tahiti core so it's not really a 7870 at all.

I've gone for what the spec I put at the top but bought the 7870 as RJC suggested.

If it was me I wouldn't buy the bundle, I'd assemble and overclock myself. You might want to amend your order quickly ;)

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i5-4670K 3.40GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail with FREE Grid 2 PC Game £194.99
1 x VTX3D HD 7870 Black Boost Edition 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £167.99
1 x Gigabyte Z87-D3HP Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard £106.99
1 x BitFenix Ronin Tower Case - Black £69.95
1 x Patriot Viper "Black Mamba" Generation 3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-17000C11 2133MHz Dual CHannel Kit (PV38G213C1K) £59.99

1 x Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (ST1000DM003) HDD £49.99
1 x Corsair Hydro H100 Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler *Manufacturer Refurbished Unit - 90 Day Warranty £39.95
1 x OcUK 20x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM £16.99

Semi-modular PSU, I don't think the one RJC spec'd is modular. Much faster RAM (2133 Mhz) than with the bundle (1600 Mhz). Ok the price has creeped up a little but I used an alternative case that could mount the bargain H100 cooler. Most budget cases can't mount 240mm rads sadly. If you want to keep that Alfar case......

Even faster RAM (2400 Mhz). Kept your Alfar choice of case but added a better cooler than what's in the bundle but it's not as good as the refurb'd H100. Oh and both specs have a DVD-RW not a DVD-ROM :)

Thanks for you input, I think it may be a bit late its been nearly 24 hours and its been paid for.
I could always upgrade parts at a later date. I'm just can't wait to get building and scared I'm going to mess it up at the same time.

If it's been dispatched then you should get an email to say so. If they haven't pop into the customer services section and explain you would like to change the order. If it's been sent out you can refuse the delivery and it would be sent back and you would get refunded.

Not sure why RJC kept the bundle in his basket. It's better to balance the parts yourself and do the overclock yourself. Overtime the OC will most likely need tweaking so it makes sense to understand how to do it yourself, it's not hard to be fair.

The first spec I did the case and cooler are on pre-order so you'd have to wait a bit for the parts. The second spec the PSU is out of stock so again there would be a slight wait unless you picked an alternative.

I was simply trying to get you more for your money. The important thing is you went for the 7870XT and that simply is the best bang for buck GPU you can get at the moment. Once you are up and running you can install MSI afterburner and we can help you overclock it to gain even more ooompf :)
