this is my 1st build and my monitor doesnt always turn on when i turn my pc on. I have to keep turning it back off, then on/ off, and so on untill it works :(

when it does work, the gc fan slows down and the pc beaps at me and i get into windows. when it doesnt work the gc fan just keeps running at a high speed... unless its the cpu fan im not sure.

it says in the manual that its the power on test and if it monitor doesnt come on within 30 seconds, its either jumper settings a connection :confused: :confused: :confused:


since iv been running it. (roughly 3 hours).. ITS CRASHED TWICE!! not even on a heavy load, something isnt right

NVIDIA nTune is teeling me the following:

CPU: 31c
system: 30c
gpu: 57c

their is 1.550 V on my cpu.

535w enermex psu
asus A8v-sli se
Amd 64 3700+ (939)
2gb xms twinx
nvidia 7600 GT

somebody please help!
 
i get one beap before anything comes up, most of the time their is no beap, nothing on the monitor what so ever, the monitor led just stays orange.

when it does boot, everything works fine.

all the power connecters are in, everything is in place as it should be. i cant think what it can be, its weird.
 
This is the only way i can get into windows:

1 - clear cmos
2 - computer bleaps, gc slows down and i have a choice to either f1 into windows or del into bios...

i f1 into windows. she boots fine, no problems (not crashing anymore that i know of). but as soon as i turn it off or restart, it doesnt bleap or do anything untill i turn off and clear cmos again.

if i restart before i press f1 or del after clearing cmos, it bleaps and i dont have to clear cmos again. i only have to when i press f1 and windows starts to boot.

confusing stuff but am trying so hard to sort this out :(

graphics card is in place, as every other component i got. they are all in the right slots ect. anyone have any bios setting ideas??
 
it isnt even letting me update bios using awdflash

it says the file name isnt right :s when i download the bios file. am i supposed to put the file inside the zip onto floppy or the zip itself
 
i worked out how to update bios, so i did and now i dont have to clear msmos everytime a want to boot :D:D:D:D:D

still does the same thing tho, just not as much
 
everything is seated right.

sometimes (rarely) the pc shuts off by itself when im in the middle of doing something

ever since iv updated the bios, i dont have to clear cmos everytime i wanna get into windows.

sometimes it does hang, sometimes it doesnt.
