I remember watching a ncix video not long ago and linus said they had the ronin exclusively for 3 weeks not sure if that counts over here , if its available that gets my vote. extra £10 well spent .

just watched this whole video! and what an amazing video!!! i must say the couple parts that worry me is spreading the thermal paste on the cpu :eek:

and connecting the motherboard to the stand off's (and poking it through the I/O) and making sure the actual stand offs goes through the mobo stand off holes, as it said if the stand offs touch any where other than the stand off holes on the mobo it could short it and damage the mobo etc :eek:

stand offs are easy, most cases come with atx standoffs in place already so just have to line it up and screw in, thermal paste there are many different videos how to do it, choose one you like the look off. you can always clean it off and do it again if it goes wrong, i always find heatsinks a pain in the ass tbh. And always remember to put back i/o shield on first because that is a pain in the ass.

thanks a lot buddy! watching the video has upped my confididence a tad mind, just a tad lol, least i can get my head around what has to be done

i think im leaning towards the ronin 60% to the 300R 40% at the moment too lol

I took delivery of a Corsair carbide 200r which is still boxed up (and it'll stay like till me daughter tidies up here room

) I can unpack it, take some pics of it inside and out if you like, might show you what you want/ need to know?

tbh that would be all i really would need for now, and if i do need to upgrade in a year or 2 then i could just rebuild into a new case, so do you rate the 200R? as for now the most i will have is 1 CD/DVD drive, 1-2 HDD, 1 SSD and they could all fit into the 200R with ease still with plenty of space to add more HDD's/SSD/DVD's

edit, ooppss just seen the 200R is out of stock any way
