....and 1st post, so hi all
Picked up my new gear yesterday, consisting of
E6600
DS3 rev 3.3 F10 Bios
2 x 1GB Geil 6400 ultra pc4000
BFG 8800 GTS.
Arctic freezer 7
So far i have it running at 9x370, 3330 Mhz/1480 FSB, @37/53C idle/load using TAT, so am pretty happy so far, super pi is about 15 secs and has run orthos for 8 hrs with no errors.
But as yet i cant get it to go much higher without instabilities, ie cycling on boot and locking up when entering windows, even by upping voltages etc, the best i've had so far is 9x375 & 8x425 but neither of these were stable and caused errors in orthos within 5-10 mins with load temps of around 56C
my Vdimm is at +0.3, core volt is 1.4, +0.1 on chipset, memory timings are 5-5-5-15.
so roughly a 39% increase in cpu performance, so any suggestions on what else i may try to reach 3.5-3.6 would be great, if not i'll be happy to leave it as is.
