1st Fermi review

Mmm, Ill wait for some apples to apple comaprisons. These seem really quite biased and unfair, and mislabled, and not up to date, and...

The thing with comparing GPU PhysX with non GPU PhysX is you're not testing what the graphics cards are capable of in relation to each other as such, you're comparing what the Nvidia GPU is capable of against the Intel CPU, using an API that specifically exploits Nvidia's hardware. No prizes for guessing who wins there - sure it's interesting to note, but it's not exactly a fair or scientific test, nor is it particularly useful information because we all already know exactly how that plays out.

Edit:

500 usd = 336 £

It is, except we have to pay VAT on top of that which brings it to about £394.

Also, I'd like to say if the DiRT 2 benchmarks are anything like they're suggesting they are then Nvidia are definitely on to a winner. I'll still wait and see for the more respected review sites, though.

"But they're not using the latest Nvidia drivers"

Rinse, repeat.

They ARE using the latest Nvidia drivers.
They're NOT using the latest ATI drivers.

But there's a million things wrong with this review/propaganda piece other than that.

Wow, assuming those results are legit they are....incredibly poor.

They seem pretty much inline with a lot of reports as of late. Waiting on hardocp and other sites to get their reviews online. Seeing as they will have had the cards for probably a week or so now id be suprised if newer drivers are included in the reviews.

Apparently reviews aren't due till monday now =/
