i originally posted this in the systems explained section, thought it was worth it to re-post it here.

Hi, going to be purchasing the "titan bayonet" config soon, just need to save up a little bit longer. im new to pc gaming, have played games on my current pc but its slower than a snail.
the specs i'll be choosing will be ...

windows 8.1 64 bit
intel core i5-4690 3.9 turbo
samsung 840 evo ssd
amd radeon r7 260x (could push to a r9 270x after a little more saving)

as a reference game, how would the system play battlefield 4 on ultra? i have heard it can be a stressfull game.

i would like to have my system without an optical drive, how would i have that done. also i want to change the paint work a little bit.

i probably could build it myself but one of the main reasons im buying it from here is for the 2 year warranty. i dont know much about parts and performance which is why i made the post

All the individual products cone with warranty anyway.. For example some of the EVGA G2 PSUs come with a 10yr warranty..

The only difference with that is you'll need to identify the issue yourself and spend the component back. With the pre-build system you send the whole rig back and ocuk find and sort out the issue

Most invidual components come with a least 2/3 years warranty anyway..

A 270x on BF4 ultra.. Your looking around 20-30FPS Max.. I think your hitting above your budget.

To be honest most components come with 3 years warranty , at the very least 2 years , some with 5 years if you take the time .

If you don't like the hassle and don't want to deal with any headaches down the road the pre builds are great .

But as above you will get better bang for buck doing it yourself

As mentioned you won't be playing BF4 on ultra with either of those cards and you'll probably get more warranty buying parts separate.

What is you maximum budget?

With regards to the "no optical drive" question, you can install windows off a USB stick.

If you are on a budget then the first thing I would get rid of is the SSD and get a better GPU. SSD's are brilliant, makes windows very snappy but has no performance impact in games (apart from load times) and I would consider it a luxury item (i.e. you don't need it but want it!). You could always add one later on. The better GPU will benefit you way more than a SSD.

Very easy! Just take your time and don't force anything. Things only fit in were they should. There's good videos on youtube on how to build a PC which could be of some help.
