1st Gen iPod Touch - How do I get the App Store?

As titled, I have a 1st Gen iPod Touch, to get the App Store I need to upgrade to IOS 2.0, but how do I do that? I tried restore in iTunes and it only upgraded to v1.05 and I don't see an option to upgrade to iOS 2.0 or 3.0 :/

Wasnt 2.0 a paid upgrade for iPod Touch? Try the iTunes app store

Yep it was a £ upgrade. If you upgraded it should then give you the option to upgrade again

found it in the end to 3.0, £2.99

After downloading the desired firmware, you can shift-click (PC) or option-click (Mac) the Restore or Update buttons in iTunes. A file dialog will open and let you choose the downloaded ipsw-file.

Would that actually work as it wasn't a free one
