1st OC results

Ok, I kinda know what im doing, lie, and this is what I got.

CPU core has hit 51c max. Idle is 29-30c

Can it be pushed much more? Im only air cooled. I have run orthos, but only for 15 mins so far, no warnings or anything. Will run for longer overnight.

Good start.

If it passes a few hours of Orthos then you've certainly got a bit more headroom.

you should try for 3.3 -3.4 but with air cooling it might get a bit hot under load if you have to use more vcore , just give it a go and keep a eye on the temps when running orthos .

Been running for almost 2 hours, no probs, but temps on core upto 59c, so dont think I can afford to go higher, unless I drop the vcore voltage from 1.4v

Or get water cooling, hehe.

Is 65c the limit on temp I've heard about?

3.42, 60c core max temp on orthos. Been going for almost 3 hours.

It seems like I could go to 3.5-3.6 on air. Seems too high?!?!?

Push more or stay there on air?

With that vcore and temps i would stay put but that is up to you , your pc is hardly slow at that speed is it

i have my e6600 @ 3.5 with 1.3v bios and 1.280v in cpu-z with temps 33c and load 50-51 in orthos but that is watercooled .
