just thought i would try my hand at overclocking and i was shocked at which my cpu was actually running at !
ive got a ds3 mobo and a conroe 2.4.
i rang a friend and he ran me through the overclocking process.
he got me to check what my cpu was running at to start with....i looked and it was running at 1.4 !!!
my pc is running really nice on 1.4 and didnt realise it was that low.
i am now at 3.1ghz which has quite shocked me.
my temps on idle (new tuniq tower) are still the same on 1.4 as they are on 3.1 now.....20 to 22c.
i did play about with the memory settings but it was a bit unstable and left it on auto and its running really nice(4gb geil 6400 ram)
thanks to the people who said get the tuniq tower as it has been the best buy for my pc for a while now.
i did get a big shock when i ordered a 7800 gt and i got a 8800gts with some nice headphone's as well....good old bay...lol

. The reason it was running that low is because of speedstep/c1e.
