1st overclocking help

Hiya,

I am just about to do my first overclock with a Core 2 Duo 6300 (maybe 6400).
So far I have narrowed the memory down to either
OCZ 1GB Kit (2x512MB) PC2-8000/1000MHz or
OCZ 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 1066MHz/PC2-8500

With the motherboard, what is the difference between the following Gigabyte models:
GA-965P-S3
GA-965P-DS3
GA-965P-DS4

or is the ASUS P5B better for overclocking?

I don't need SLI or crossfire as this is not going to be a gaming machine, just a nice fast machine

And finally what are the best coolers? I live in Tenerife so my choice is limited but I can get a few by, Zalman, thermaltake, Gigabyte & Arctic Cooling

I want a decent overclock but I am not prepared to pay an extra €100 just to get an extra few MHz

go for the 2GB kit and the DS3, should get 3.5 with a decent cooler

id get the asus seems more stable when a higher fsb is needed

Thanks for the advice I went for the 2GB kit and should be getting the rest of the bits in the next couple of weeks when I get paid.
