Hey Guys,

Complete novice here,

Looking at building a budget pc (my laptops getting a bit old now... 1.6ghz processor, 1gb of ram lol) to do a bit of gaming on (Diablo 3, bf3 and maybe guild wars 2..... when it eventually comes out!) but nothing too hardcore

looking at spending around £500 on pc but i need moniter, OS etc so about £700 in total

Intel vs AMD is there a difference or are you just paying for the brand? (like a friend of mine reckons)

any help is appreciated,

cheers

Rather over budget but you could drop the CPU down to an i3 and have a 22" monitor instead of the 24".

Here is a the spec above but with a i3 CPU and keeping the same monitor.
