Hello everyone, I was hoping for some advice on purchasing the parts for my 1st build. The pc will be mainly used for gaming and light office work for my wife.
To be honest I`m not sure what to get but what i know is , is that I wouldn`t mind future proofing myself to some degree, at least for a few years.
I have made a list of parts that I`m debating on getting, but would like someone to go through them and see if they will all go together or to make improvements. I would say my maximum budget would be £1500.
This is the list;
Corsair Obsidian 650D Gaming Windowed Midi Tower Case - Black (CC650DW)
Intel Core i5-4690K 3.50GHz (Devil's Canyon) Socket LGA1150 Processor
Corsair HX750i Full Modular Digital Power Supply
Corsair Vengeance Pro Red 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-17100C11 2133MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit
Western Digital Caviar Green 3TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM
Kingston HyperX 3K SSD 240GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Drive
MSI Z97 Gaming 7 Intel Z97 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard
Microsoft Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-Bit - OEM
Zotac GeForce GTX 780Ti OC "GHz Edition" 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Heatsink...Not sure ?
Optical Drive...Not sure?
Any help would be gladly appreciated.
Many Thanks.

Hi and thanks for the welcome.

Thank you very much.

The gtx 780ti is an older card that has been replaced by the new 970/80 series in nvidias lineup. As for corsair psu's, theyre not as good as they used to be. The superflower unit in the bundle stulid has suggested above is a much better psu.

About the PSU - I highly recommand Superflower Leadex Gold 650W.
With Black fully modular cables and semi passive fan I believe it is best choice right under 100£

The EVGA should be the same internals as the 750W Leadex, it is made by them and has the same semi-fanless mode etc.

Thank you all for your suggestions. I`m leaning on the 1st one Stulid mentioned but change Win 8.1 for Win 7 and maybe swap the case for a larger one.
