1st Time OCer

Hello folks, My name is Rab and i am a new member looking for some help about overclocking my C.P.U. I have a Gigabyte G31M-ES2L mobo with an intel C2D E6750. I have tried to research online but was always worried when it came to it. So i thought the best thing to do was to signup and post to you guys. Im looking for a step by step guide on how to do this if u can. Any and all help is much appreciated. I do build and repair pc`s and lappys so i do know a few things but as i say, it was just worry as this is something i have never attempted and just didnt want to fry my system, (or set the house on fire)

Maybe try it before you start asking around for help guides are easy to come by on Google - here is one more relevant to your chip. If you get stuck, then maybe come and post back with some advice I'm sure 8Pack will be more willing to give you a hand if you have actually tried it.

In terms of settings things on fire... just don't shove exessive volts through it and you'll be fine good luck!
