Hi Guys,

Getting all the parts together for my new PC build (1st time builder), but have a question on cables.

I will be going for a Phanteks NV5 case with RGB kit, screen & controller. The PSU am looking to use is a Phanteks revolt 1200W unit but come with no cables.

My question is what cable kit do i need, i can see the Phanteks cable kit is no longer available on the OC site. Cable mod only option, if so which one.

Sorry if its a stupid question.

Cheers
Johnny

Hi and welcome to the forums. :)

What is the spec of the pc you are building because unless it includes a RTX 5090 you won't need anything like a 1200w psu and a Phanteks Revolt wouldn't be on my list anyway. Their Amp GH series are very good plus they come with nicely braided cables.

The Phanteks uses PSU specific cables, you're expected to buy their kit. If the kit is unavailable, I'd recommend another PSU, just not worth the bother/expense.

Hiya,

The build includes 14700k on a z790 main board, 64gb ddr5 6400mhz, rtx 5080 fe and a pcie ge5 m.2 ssd.

Was either looking at a 1200W revolt or corsair 1200. My current machine struggles with power so wanted to ensure this one had plenty in reserve and also good power will help if i need to upgrade in the future.
