Basically this is my first time buying an SSD,wondering which is prob the best to go for

I was thinking a samsung 840 EVOs heard good reviews about them and also OCZ vector/vertex

my mother board is a ASUS Hero

the Samsung evo series is a solid choice. Crucial or Plextor also make some great ssds, comes down to budget really.
