Would this set up be ok for cooling a E8500 and would it be good enough to cool my OCZ9200 flex. Also if I wanted to WC my GFX as well would I need to add another loop or would this set up be able to cope?

Its always worth looking at custom too, I know a kit always seems much easier because it is but you don't necessarily get the best mix of components. For example if I were looking for performance I probably wouldn't pick the swiftech rad or block in that kit.

Something like a thermochill PA120.2 and a Swiftech Apogee GTX or Dtek Fuzion coupled with a Laing DDC 12v pump (which is much smaller and quieter than the one supplied in that kit) would really be about as good as it gets and probably not cost much more.

There are no compatibility issues with pretty much any watercooling stuff, the only thing its good to keep constant is the tubing size.

Ask lots of questions on here and you'll get lots of answers :)

Thermochill PA120.2, I'd go with the EK Supreme though, DDC pumps are win, however don't bother cooling RAM, it kills flow rate and won't lower RAM temps that much.

thermochill pa120.2, d-tek fusion, swiftech d5, swiftech micro res :D simple and easy for first timers cough like me cough :D

I know from reading that the Liang DDC pumps are highly recommended but what about the XSPC pump reservoir combo

If that's not upto scratch a DDC 1 ultra will do and what are thoughts on this reservoir or just a gimick. I thought it looked nice but if naff I would go for a 5 1/4 bay reservoir.

I think i would also go for 3/8 tubing as it looks easier to build and not much difference in performance between 1/2 vs 3/8 from what I have read. Also apart from the recommended rads are the black ice versions any good? Just widening my options.

So how does this list look

ThermoChill PA120.3
Yate Loon 120mm x3 plus shrouds
PVC 10/8 UV Blue/Blue Hose depending on fittings
12V Laing DDC-1T Plus Ultra w/Alphacool Top
D-Tek FuZion Accelerator Nozzle Kit
D-TEK FuZion CPU Block
D-Tek FuZion Intel 775 Pro-Mount Set
Either the alpha cool res 51/4 bay one or the XSPC bay one.

I was thinking of going with 10mm compression fittings any pro or cons with these? Or stick to either 1/2 3/8 fittings, tubing and clamps.

Pricing looks about the 200 notes shopping here and there.

No need for a 120.3 if its a cpu only loop. Get a 120.2 unless you plan on putting gpu's or chipsets in the same loop.

The main benefit is you can pretty much guarantee that a properly made up compression fitting will never leak (though I guess you could say the same with barbs). The main disadvantage though is that you are limited with the size of tubing you can use, mainly 10/8mm tubing which is going to be slightly restrictive compare to 1/2" tubing. Though this has an advantage in the sense that you can make watercooling fit in very compact cases.
