Hi after taking a while my build is off I have purchased a black and green parvum off a fellow forum member complete with:

Phobya Flexible Thread Funnel - Black G 1/4
Delrin - G1/4in Fillport

Already installed in the roof!

So being my 1st watercooled project what will I need? can you include everything like fittings and fan choice please. The builds going to be black and green ,so some green dye would be great

CPU is intel i7
Gpu is gtx 780 ( single )

Thank you for your time any help most apreciated

Nice one!

Got a budget?

Cheers petey, still gutted bout your monster though :(

I allocated £400 for the cooling although it would be great coming in under it lol
I had an idea if using those spectre fans or enermax fans with lights in to save using light strips aswell

Don't worry about me mate, it'll get sorted out one way or another. Besides, I've at least managed to stay the execution for now and I may not have to get rid of it after all :)

Anyway, how's this for starters?

YOUR BASKET
1 x EK Water Blocks EK-FC Titan - Acetal+Nickel Full Cover Waterblock **GTX 780 COMPATIBLE** £79.99
1 x EK Water Blocks EK-Supremacy Clean CSQ - Nickel £56.99
1 x XSPC D5 Vario (Body + Screwring) £56.99
1 x XSPC Acrylic Tank Reservoir for Laing D5 £28.98
1 x EK Water Blocks EK-FC Titan Backplate - Black £24.95
1 x XSPC HighFlex Hose 7/16" ID, 5/8" OD, 15.9/11.1mm, 2m, Green/UV Green £5.99
10 x XSPC G1/4" to 7/16" ID, 5/8" OD Compression Fitting (Black Chrome) £2.99 (£29.90)
Total : £295.76 (includes shipping : £10.00).

Plus these from elsewhere:

Alphacool ST30 240mm £35
Alphacool XT45 240mm £45

I haven't included any angled fittings as I think you'll be better off working out exactly how you want it laid out, and no fans yet as I wouldn't recommend Spectre's and not too sure about the Enermax ones. Still, we're dealing with fairly slim rads that aren't especially dense, so....
We'll also sort out a couple of 80mm fans too.

I went with green tubing as it means you won't have to have any concerns about staining or gunking and you have the option to go for a UV glow if you want :D
You can also illuminate the CPU block and the res with green LEDs too.

it go for the monsoon fittings with that case, get black fittings, and it will show the green tubing through it, it would look awesome.

other than that, tis pretty much what i have waiting to go into my parvum build!!!

im still not sure if il use the rez, or go for a mini EK tube rez, il have to see!

Whoops been caught up playing gta on my xbox lol

The spec you have laid out looks great, I just had a peak at the monsoon fittings.... How nice!

Davido labido is right,

I don't have a pic but the guys forum name is Darren uk and his build is on here all I did is a quick search for parvum and it came up. :)

When I get more components I will start a build log but for the time being it's not worthy lol

Why them radiators out of interest?

You guys obviously have experienced in this subject so is it something that ocuk are missing out on?

They don't have to be them rads, I personally like the xspc ones. I can't think of a reason of the top of my head why they should be them unless they are low profile or something?

Just don't go for massively thick radiators with the parvum, I've not built mine yet, but I have 8 radiators spare at the moment of various sizes and brands and the thinner ones will be a lot easier to do the loop with as it will give you the extra room, and also hide themselves better.

I'm interested in why petey is so definitive though, I have a alphacool nexxxos st30 120mm, and I don't rate it any better than the equivalent xspc or hardware labs, it might just be personal preference, the same with me and xspc, there's no real advantage with me using xspc, other than I like the looks of them lol

Cheers davido

I was just googling to see where to get em from I though they may of been spec'ed for a low profile or summet. Tbh I have seen good comments bout the xspc and hardware labs rads on here!

What's a good recommendation for the rads ocuk stock out of interest

As mentioned, I like xspc, they look plain, don't have massive logos (well, they kinda do, but they are embossed in the side so hardly noticable.)
The hardware labs ones (maybe the stealth ones as they are really thin)!

using the crossflow rads can be useful to keep your loop simple (they have ports at either end rather than 2 ports at 1 end) so when you put them in your case it will look cleaner. If ya need more explanation on it, il knock something up in paint, as when I first looked into it I couldn't really see why it would make a difference.

Check ocuk for dual fan rads.

There are some more expensive 240 mm rads like my latest to the collection (xspc ax 240 in white, but you could get black (drool)) they are quite bulky and come in at 75 quid each But they are gorgeous! (not crossflow though)

You will have plenty with 2 240 rads regardless of which ones you get really, so it's down to personal preference I guess.

Aaah, slightly gutted now lol, was hoping you had an awesome trick with them or something lol.

Yeh, so just get the rads you like the looks of then if ya dont want the ones weve mentioned!

Oh it wasn't coz I don't want them I knew ocuk didn't stock em but a certain rival did, like I said I'm new to this so though there must be a reason probably why they were spec'ed etc.

So with the above spec what sort of fans would I require? I know 4 x 120 for the rads but so I need the additional 3 x 80 for exhaust aswell?

You could get a couple of 80mm ones yeah, ive bought 3 ready for my build,
For your 120's id look at the corsair sp 120s or if your getting a fan controller some typhoons

I tbh have bought enermax ones, not sure how they will perform yet though, I know the others ive mentioned work well though.
