temps been quite low, 45-50 at full load 21-22 idle with e6600 @ 3.4.
Only thing is, however i setup fsb, multi, mem, voltage etc etc i cannot get it to go past post screen (greater than 3.5 edit). 3.5 works lovely, orthos stable 55-57@load, go past 3.5 wont pass post
board is ds3p rev3.3, e6600 (fpo#L644G380), ballistix 5300.
Maybe this is the most i can get from chip, but just seems wierd how it wont let me boot past post to at least fail in windows. Any ideas welcome.

Are you saying that since you've installed the WC setup it won't post regardless of settings? Even stock?

You must have found the limit of ram,cpu or fsb the board can manage then, have you tried using a mem divider to take your ram out of the equation?

yes def not ram, dont think it board either as i can lower multiplier raise fsb to reach 3.5 levels. tried various voltages, just wont pass post at > 3.5 gig levels. I thought it would at least boot say at 3.6 to fail orthos or watever if you get me.

to run stable at 3.5 i had to use 1.53 volts and upped mch +.1 and fsb +.1.

You may need slightly higher voltages now due to the extra power drain from the WC pump, try bumping them until it posts, the DS3's should be good for 500fsb +,try upping vmch and FSB first.

By the way are you using a good brand PSU?

ps is a tagan easycon 520
the way im thinking ( could be wrong) is that when i was getting 3.5 i set vcore to 1.5 and had to up vcore bit by bit to get it orthos stable (1.53).
ok so now it stable at 3.5 i up fsb from 389 to 400 up vcore to 1.55 no pass post.

Try increasing vmch and fsb, whats the max the board allows on these 2.

1.575 -1.6 should be safe on water for the vcore.

Have you tried 395fsb?

yes m8, can boot upto 398, 399 or over wont post (got it to boot once at 399), but i can lower the multi and raise fsb, so not fsb failing there. maybe this is the chips limit.

What!!??

His temps are stupidly high! (not in the sense that the CPU temp is high as Core2Duo can go into the 70's, but is not advised.)

You idle 21 and load into the 50's? So you have a delta of 30+ degrees?

Putting it into perspective with my watercooling loop, I idle 30 degrees and load in at 38 degrees and that was with a 120.2 radiator with a very hot RD600 chipset and a X1900XT in the loop.

Sorry to say this, but Thermaltake watercooling is about as good as high end air cooling.

What are you using to read the temperatures? Motherboard sensors or coretemp?

Those load temperatures are - just as Mekrel has advised - way out.

Touchthe radiator to see if it's hot; if it is then at least the loop is doing part of it's job. If it's not, you have a problem.

using core temp to read temps, the 50+temps are only when upping the vcore 1.53+, norm 3,400mhz temps are tops 45-50.
dont cus me sys :P biatch for a 3/8 loop and first build it ok :) and tbh i dont think this chip is as good as some of the 6600's out there..i see some have to up voltage right up as i do, and as said chip will not pass 3.58mhz even though the temps "are reasonable"

i`m having the same prob mate nearly

mine posts and does everything fine at 3.55 ghz but won`t stay stable. Just re boots all the time. Minmes only a cheapo PSU so i`m temped to try a different one

mine is orthos stable, just cant get past that :)
the radiator warms up lil, but i dont think it will get hot as it trip rad 500lhr pump on one cpu, i know the block will not be as good as some, maybe that would help a lil, but think this is the chips limitations being reached (my chip).
