Ive just setup this today: Swiftech H20-220 Apex "Ultra". Its my 1st venture into the world of water cooling and I'm leak testing for 2 hours and all looks OK!

2 things are puzzling me (maybe I'm just tired and cant read the manual!),. The Swiftech manual says to prepare a litre of water but Ive only used about 600cc and its full.

The other thing is the pump speed. Its the MCP655 and the manual suggests that the speed can be varied. The only "twiddly" bit I can find is a tiny red plug with a notch that corresponds to numbers etched on the pump. Twiddling this doesnt do anything, in fact I can pull it out !
any ideas?

thanks for looking

set it at 5 on the pump, water would depend on your loop setup so i would'nt worry, as long as all air is out

Red twiddly bit is the reostat for the pump speed, should be flush with the pump body as the pic.

If it comes out and won't change the speed it's faulty / damaged.

Try to push it back on to the spindle first, if that doesn't work RMA it.

Yes, thats the "twiddly" bit. Looks like it will be an RMA and that means a drain down of my new rig :(

thanks for the info
