....and looking for some advice / sanity checks before I do anything.
A few weeks back I upgraded my PC to an i7 4790K and a Gigabyte Z97Z-SLi board.
Feeling clever with myself, I decided that I would use the m2 slot and bought a Samsung 251 module......only to find out I am a numpty of the 1st order and the board I have only runs it at 10 GB, instead of the 32 it can run at.
So....I find myself in a quandary with as I see it, 3 possible solutions
1 - Stay 'as is' and live in the knowledge that the m2 is not running as fast as it should.
2 - Get a Z97 board that supports Ultra m2 and slap the old one on MM, keeping current gfx card (xfire 7970/280x under water), but knowing that I may be running the cards slower than I possible can due to limited PCi lanes
3 - Keep my current mobo and get a single clot gfx solution and one of the Asus adapters and put m2 card into that in a spare pci-e slot.
If 3 (which is what I am kind of leaning too) then what gfx card to get? Stick with red and look at Fury and Fury-X, or look at green and the 980 and 980ti.
Games wise am currently playing FO4, JC3 and Elite Dangerous, but looking to add in some Star Citizen and EVE too. Currenlty have 3 montior eyefinity too, so am looking to keep the three screen setup....
As said, 1st world issues, but what would others do?
