hi all ,
my first wu got to 79% then crashed any ideas ?
how can i find out what happened?

Sorry to hear that, to help us what client are you running and whats your system (aka is it OC'ed)

Also if you could post the FAHlog.txt file that would also help (it's in the same folder as the client)

it was oc but went back to default as with folding running cpu at 100% it got a bit warmer than i liked

What happened between the 9.37 and 9.50 this morning? why the reboot?

windows updates? as it looks like your problems started then.
Also the WU that crashed at 78% was the 4th that the machine had been working on, yet you say it's your first .... sounds like it not 100% stable.

can you post the FAHlog-Prev.txt file?

Edit: As an aside EOC is saying you sumitted one WU on the 11th for no points - I guess the first three died due to the toasty OC you mentioned

this is definatly the first wu
and yep it was windows updates this morning
the 11th is about the time i started folding so i guess when i was messing about installing this prog i did that by mistake
as far as the oc gos it was prime stable for about 26 hours before i ended the prog myself and mem test for 6 hours no probs ,it wasnt hot anough to cause problems(45 c)but i just dont like to run at that temp 12 hours a day

What updates did you install? (just the malware, junk e-mail filter & security update)

Looks like you may be doing something that causes the client to corrupt the WU files - then when it starts it finds they're invalid and trashes the WU. But I don't see how that's happening as you have it running as a service so it should shut down OK :confused:

BTW 45c load temp is pretty good.

thanks for the help guys ,ive done a few tweeks to my system and ,also deleated the logs and work folder
the has started the process running again now so fingers crossed it will work this time ,i think about 2 days to complete this wu so will update this thread then

45 degrees is nothing - mine runs 24/7 @ 53 degrees without any issues.

and as its in my bedroom i like it quiet
