Hi All,

I am hoping somebody can assist. I have built a new system with windows 7 as the main OS installed clean on a brand new 2TB drive. I have a additional 1TB which has all my media on it, Music,Video, Pics etc etc. I can see the drive in disk management and its also present in device manager but i cant actully see the drive in my computer to use. Its also present and correct in the BIOS, I have removed the drive from device manager and it found the drive again on reboot and reinstalled the drive as normal, Except i still cant see it in my computer.

Has anybody come across this problem at all, Hope somebody can assist.

Kind Regards
Richard

I think its a security thing, it doesn't assign drive letters for drives that already have windows on them (I think)

They really should add a 'new drive detected' wizard. As much as I hate wizards, it's not very obvious what you need to do at the moment

They do, but not for drives that have partitions on them although having said that I think you still have to open disk management for the wizard to pop up.
