1tb Samsung 850 ssd birthday present. Can I move all game data from old to new?

Hi guys.

Was my birthday today, got a nice big 1tb ssd from my mum. I have some steam games and origin games on a 250gb ssd which I want on the 1tb drive. Can I just move them from old drive to new or do I need to re download each game again on the new 1tb ssd?

Pretty simple.

1) Put new drive in.
2) Copy all files from old to new (Either through Windows standard copy or Robocopy)
3) In Disk Management, swap drive letters
4) Remove old drive.

Done.

Steam will let you move games around manually, just create a new library on the new drive from within Steam first, then move them across into the newly-created Steam folder on the new drive. No changing of drive letters required.

No idea about Origin though.

You could mirror your old hdd to your new ssd. I used a program called Macrium Reflect. It worked well
