If someone could explain, I would be very gratefull.

Im aware CPU speeds on the current gen chips are rated differently to the last gen... but....

If I have a 2.2Ghz AMD X2 and only use it with games supporting only 1 core, my instinct tells me this is will run slower than a P4 running at 3.8Ghz? Is this true?

If it is, I am mainly playing games supporting 1 core, am I not better off going for a single core chip running at a faster speed?

Thanks

A. idiot
