2 4870 in Xfire what is best CAT driver for BFBC2

It Seems that my card is to old for the new drivers to mention any increase in speed for my cards
So if any of you kind people had or have ATI 4870 in Xfire what did you find to be the best driver smoothness and frame rate wise, Battlefild Bad Company 2 is the game i am playing most at the moment.

I have 2 4890's in crossfire and find the 10.5's from the ATI site work better than any later drivers. Some people swear by 10.4a's, I think these are listed on ATI's site as 10.4's.

What about CAT Profile drivers which ones to use if any ??

i have 4890s in crossfire and use the the 10.4a preview drivers - these were the ones with the fast load times but am interested in using some newer ones... i still get a little bit of random grass and the odd shimmery bit (very very rarely however) - weren't the 10.9s supposed to be good...? i'm not currently using an application profile...
