No idea of RAM timings/speed, but this is mighty impressive.

just been reading the thread over at xs. stock volt is 1.2v for that cpu.

impressive stuff. would like to see more benches of course but it's looking good.... :cool:

I've a Conroe ES sat right here, yet to unpack it but sher came hot in form Japan today off my ex misis who works for Intel.

Can't wait for the mobo to follow so i can play

Still waiting for DD2 ram for my Yonah and Aopen bord i got here gathering dust

Thats nuts, as there will be top end chips coming out at 3ghz, probably a new superpi record, but with a bit of tweaking should abominate it

Games, encoding etc. Stuff that you actually use a pc for, not working out pi.

Yeah benchmarks for this were floating around the web last month after IDF. General consensus was that Conroe stomped all over everything and anything else.

How much are the cpus and motherboards supposed to cost?

Have amd got anything to combat it? Because otherwise I'd expect them to lose most of their business.
