I have an x570 motherboard with 5 PCIE slots:
1x PCIE4 16x for graphics card (occupied)
1x PCIE4 4x (full length)
3x PCIE 3.0 1x (short slots)
As I understand it, if I install a 2.5Gbps NIC in the PCIE 3.0 1x slots it will not be able to run at full speed. Am I able to install the short length network card into the full length PCIE4 4x slot and achieve 2.5Gbps?

/edit. believe i've confused GB/s and Gbps and it will work fine in the PCIE 3.0 1x slot. This can be ignored.
