When Memory Remap is enabled in the BIOS:

3072MB is detected in the BIOS, but 2GB detected in Windows XP Pro SP2 32bit.

When Memory Remap is disabled in the BIOS:

3008MB is detected in the BIOS and 2.93GB detected in Windows XP Pro SP2 32bit.

Is there any way to make Windows XP Pro SP2 32bit detect all 3GB? I know it it is to do with the PCI memory address allocation limit in 32bit.

Thanks

pwned? hardly...

My original question was:

Is there any way to make Windows XP Pro SP2 32bit detect all 3GB?

And yes, I do know that 3008/1024= 2.9375, Windows XP shows it as 2.93GB.

2.93GB is currently only being detected instead of 3gb.

2.93GB seen in windows = 3 x 1GB sticks installed on your computer. Your bios is only seeing 2.93Gb as well so it's not a problem with windows XP.

My BIOS sees 3072MB (3gb) when I turn on memory remapping though, but 2GB is seen in Windows XP. The link I posted above explains why.

Well the answer is simply keep memory remap disabled as you judged for yourself before you made this thread.
