Hey, I have 2 problems in OS X and I can't figure out what is causing them.

First off is a folder problem, I recently downloaded a film and renamed the folder. After I renamed it I couldn't see the text unless I highlighted it. I've tried to make a new folder and and drop the AVI file into it but the folder still wont show the text.

Secondly is another small problem, basically whenever I go to change my wallpaper. I see a second batch of all my files which only displays the file format and not the picture, I can't figure why this is.

Any help would be appreciated.

I would imagine the first 'issue' is due to you having a white font on a white background. :p

Edit: I laugh, but my font/text on the Mac has a drop shadow so can be seen on white backgrounds anyway. Hmm.

I've just made a new folder and dragged the file into it, now it's fine...

I'm guessing it was just one of them things.

Anyone got a idea for the second issue? All my wallpapers are just showed again as the file type.

Might be a useless metadata file kicking about for each proper image file.

In Terminal, cd to your wallpaper directory and run ls -la to look for hidden junk.

I had an issue like that, try making your icons smaller or bigger if it displays correctly then, try clearing your cache...
