Thinking of setting up another comp in my room, but I don't want to, or have the space for "another keyboard & mouse".

Orginally thought I could use a splitter, but it means thinks will be done on both comps at the same time. I was wondering is there any sort of switch I could use? Not expencive of course ;)

King :)

You can get a KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) switch that will allow you to switch between either machine. THey can be had quite cheaply usually.

Erm I haven't see one without video but £22 seems like a good price to me. I remember paying almost £50 for mine four years ago.

You could try a software solution, like synergy. I used an old version of it ages ago, and seemed to work well enough. It has the advantage that you can move the mouse over to the second monitor as you would in a dual headed setup, without out the need to switch. And it's better than cheap; it's free ;)

Any particular you require the use of a 2nd computer?

You could just as well use virtual PC software like VMware to acheive much the same results.

The scenario is more like I have a spare comp stored in my room. I was thinking of setting it up (using vga on monitor & same keyboard), otherwise im happy with current rig :P
