Maybe a silly question, but is it possible to send one audio stream (e.g. WMP playback) to headphones and a different stream (e.g. CBeebies website !!) to speakers ?

Running an X-Fi Fatal1ty FPS (with front I/O) on Vista 64-bit Ultimate......would rather not rely on installing more apps, but.....

I think...you might be able to select sources if your using different hardware (e.g. a card and onboard), but not sure if software will do it with only one output catagory.

I might be wrong, will be interesting to know if I am.

I've never used vista but I recently tried to do this using xp, it turned out to be a lot of hassle. It is possible but most programs seem to just randomly pick which audio output they use. You can set a default in xp (not sure about vista) but it seems like most programs just ignore the default setting.

Hmmmm, reading around it seems that this in ot goind to be straight-forward :( Dag nam complicated windows........
