I've just bought a gtx 580 to go with my 460 to be used for seti. when I'm playing a game, how do I know the 580 is being used not the 460?

Under display settings (Advanced Settings) it should tell you which adapter is running your main (only) monitor. If Windows 7, right-click desktop - Screen Resolution then select Advanced Settings at bottom right.

haha youd think i would be able to tell!

ive just run the unigine benchmark test and it told me i was using the 460 at the end!

edit: my score 1148 is a bit low for a 580 but high for a 460

Do you have:

a) one monitor with multiple inputs, 580 into one and 460 into another?

b) two monitors and each card is connected to its own display?

I have one monitor, all i wanted to know is that if i plug the monitor into the 580 will it use that for any game i run and if i plug it into the 460 will that be used. Probably a dumn question but the thing that confused me was the benchmarking software had the 460 in the details at the end where it gives you the score even though the monitor was plugged into the 580.
