2 fans in 1 fan header

I've got too many fans for the number of headers on my mobo so instead of leaving some out or wiring them directly to the psu I was wondering if they would work in parallel on the same header?

They're all voltage regulated fans, 3 pin connectors.

I've used a 4-pin splitter to run 2 fans from one header but not a 3-pin, can't see why this wouldn't work though so I'd say give it a shot.

I did this for ages on my last build and it was fine. I think I had actually daisy-chained 3 together :eek:

Provided total fan load is under 1A then it's normally OK.

Do I need to get the multimeter out and check it or is there a way I can work this out from the fan specs?

should be on the sticker on the back of the fan
