i prefer both of them..

i know selective colour is pretentious and what not.. but i'm fond of it. i think if u desat most of it, but keep the reds inside the glass bead (guessing thats what it is)

id have a play, but im on the laptop and it wasnt bought with digital image editing in mind!

hehe, hard to choose isn't it?

Selective colour might be the way. B&W back ground but coloured water.

It's a water droplet by the way :)
 
ahh, i wasn't so sure.

i think the whole droplet in colour might be too much, hence just keeping the reds from inside the droplet.
 
Sorry, neither working for me.

Water droplet pictures need an area of interest. Be that a second image focused through the drop or a splash or something else entirely.

This is just a drop. And on top of that it's only half in focus.

My eyes don't know where to look, there is no obvious focal point to the image.

Not a fan of the picture in general i'm afraid, though would say the colour is the better of the two.

Fair dues :) was a completely random spur of the moment thing anyway. Glad you gave good honest critique :) - I prefer that.
 
i hope your not suggesting my critque is anything but honest, if i thought they were crap - i'd tell you so :p
