2 hard drives

Could i install 2 sata hard drives with 2 different operating systems and boot from any one i wish.
If so how would i go about this, atm i have 1 drive and its in sata port 1.

You can, the process is different depending what OS's you want to use.

You should probably post in the relevevant software sub forum though as it's not exactly a hardware question ;)
 
You used to be able to use 3rd part boot manager utilities with XP to do this, on boot it would present a screen as to which drive you wanted to boot from and you could configure it so that it hides the other drive.

Without using the above you could just go into the BIOS and change the boot order but for this to work you'd need to remove the other drive when doing the install of the OS on the other drive. Not too sure how it would work once both drives are connected though as Windows seems to remember that 1 of the drives was the C: drive.
 
Shouldnt be a problem as it will boot from which ever drive takes priority in the BIOS and will call that one C: and the other a different drive letter... probably E:
